Y’all may not know, but I am not the best cook. I struggle with burning things, mostly because it is hard for me to be patient with cooking or baking. Once I discovered this simple and amazing chocolate chip cooking recipe, I was in love. Not only are these cookies delicious, but they are also super easy to make. Here is the recipe for the best made-from-scratch chocolate chip cookies.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe Description
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 12 minutes
This recipe makes around 36 cookies, depending on cookie size.
Ingredients
1 cup white granulated sugar
1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup salted butter (softened)
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
3 regular eggs
1/2 of a bag of Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375° F
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. If using aluminum foil, spray canola oil or non-stick cooking spray on foil.
In a separate bowl, mix 3 cups of flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp baking powder, and 1 tsp salt. Set aside.
Cream together 1 cup salted butter (softened), 1 cup white sugar, and 1 cup packed light brown sugar.
Beat in 3 eggs and 2 tsp pure vanilla extract until the mixture is fluffy.
Mix in the dry ingredients until combined.
Add 1/2 of a bag of Ghirardelli milk chocolate chips.
Use two spoons to scoop cookie dough onto the prepared cookie sheet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12 minutes. MAKE SURE to take the cookies out of the oven after 12 minutes. The cookies will still look doughy. THIS is the step that makes these cookies so delicious. PLEASE DO NOT OVERBAKE.
Let sit for 3 minutes.

TIP: If your butter is not softened, put it into your glass miking bowl, place bowl in microwave, and use the defrost setting for 30 seconds.
