Bali Body vs Loving Tan

So I have been hearing the debate about Loving Tan vs other brands. Everyone I know of that has used Loving Tan has been a die-hard fan. Personally, I LOVE Bali Body, but I am not attached to one brand or another. I just love a product that works and is strong in all the areas that are important to me. From my perspective, there is a list of things I want out of a self tanner. Each of these categories, I will list below and provide a comparison between Bali Body Ultra Dark Self Tanning Mousse and Loving Tan Ultra Dark Tanning Mousse.

Categories ranked by importance:

So as you can see, they both scored highly. Bali body is my favorite though because it is so superior in the wear/moisture categories, plus its less expensive.

The Loving Tan Ultra Dark has amazing color, it dries down completely (does not feel wet on the skin after a couple of minutes) and the smell isn’t bad. Loving Tan falls short because the tan does not last long. It looks really good for about 3 days, maybe 4. After that, it starts to wear off patchy and when I tried to apply tanner again, it did not cover the patchiness. Additionally, Loving Tan dried my skin out pretty badly. The tan was cracking and splitting on my calves, arms, etc. and my skin was itchy from the dryness, so I had to apply moisturizer every day, just to get it to not itch.

Bali Body, on the other hand, also has amazing color, but it lasts so much longer, does not come off patchy, and does not dry out my skin at all! In areas like my feet where my sandals rub, Bali Body can come off patchy. The good thing about Bali Body’s tanner is that if you place a new coat of tanner over an existing ta that is patchy, IT WILL FILL IN THE PATCHES. This is so great for a situation where you don’t have time to scrub off your old tan, but you just need to touch up.

The biggest downfall to this tanner is that it does not dry down. You feel wet the while time you are wearing it. Although bearable, it’s definitely frustrating. I mainly sleep in this tanner so I don’t have to deal with feeling wet. The Loving Tan is great for during the day tanning.

Overall, I will continue to use both tanners, and they’re both a good buy, but the Bali Body Ultra Dark Self Tanner ranked higher for me.

I hope this was helpful for you! As always, I have linked both tanners below so you can shop them. Have an amazing day!!!
