Spring Closet Staples + Styled 6 Ways

I am so happy to finally be able to share with y’all what I’ve been working on with a fellow blogger and such an amazing friend, Dariane! We are starting a new series where we collaborate to bring you all two different perspectives, styles, and options on important information like building your closet with staples that can be styled multiple ways and worn in multiple seasons.

If you’re wanting to take a look at Dariane’s blog and Instagram, click the links and give her a follow! She’s got some amazing family, recipe, fashion, and home content!

For this first blog post, we have both picked a closet staple for spring, and showed three different ways to style these pieces. What’s better? They’re super affordable! Affordability is so important to Dariane and I, and we want you to know that you can build an amazing wardrobe on a budget and not feel lost when you walk into your closet.

My thoughts:

There’s something really special about a simple sundress in the spring. Since being pregnant with my sweet little girl, I’ve been drawn to all things bright and frilly. A pink plaid sundress with adjustable straps and smocked top allows for a very comfortable fit and even works for a bump!

This mommy and me matching outfit is the cutest! This is perfect for spring or summer and can be worn over a swimsuit, should you be going to the lake or the beach. Plus, who doesn’t love to match with their baby!

In my experience, early Spring can tend to be a little breezy and a tad chilly. This denim jacket and tennis shoes combo lets you be comfortable in warmer or cooler Spring temperatures.

Lastly, if you’re going on a brunch date or out with hubby, this elegant, timeless, and dressed up look works perfectly.

Ultimately, this sun dress can be worn for so many occasions and many months through the year. It’s truly a great closet staple that can be enjoyed time and time again.

Dariane's thoughts:

I feel like you can’t go wrong with a good quality pair of mom jeans – for any season really. I found this affordable pair from Target, for just $22. They run true to size, and are made of soft, stretchy fabric for comfort. These jeans are the perfect closet staple that you can style multiple ways.

I love a good casual look, so my number one way to style these jeans would have to be with a graphic tee, sneakers, and belt bag. This is a cute yet comfortable look for running errands.

You can also dress these jeans up with a flowy blouse, sandals, and clutch for an easy yet stylish, date night look.

These jeans are the perfect transitional piece to wear from fall to spring! Pair them with a tank top style bodysuit, lighter material cardigan, sandals, and a headband for a girly inspired look.
