I have had blonde in my hair for a majority of my life, and it always looks amazing right when you first get your hair done. Inevitably it yellows and becomes brassy, despite any efforts to use purple shampoo.
GETTING THE RIGHT PURPLE SHAMPOO FOR YOUR BLONDE
I have tried so many different purple shampoos ranging from drugstore prices to high end. Although I saw a little bit of a difference over time, it was never anything drastic. Eventually it just felt like I was wasting my money, so I stopped buying purple shampoo. I decided to try again recently and ordered an $12 purple shampoo from Amazon. I hoped it would remove the brassiness and tone my hair.
Y’ALL. It worked SO WELL!
My hair went from this:
to this:
in just TWO WASHES. I was completely blown away. Gone are the days where I have brassy hair! After I went back to Amazon to see what others were saying about it, I saw that there are over 17,000 5 star reviews for this product. By this time, I realized I just HAD to share this!
DISCLAIMER
If you recently got your hair bleached or have blonde extensions PAY ATTENTION. I would highly recommend filing the sink with water, mixing in a little bit of the purple shampoo and dipping your hair/extensions in the water. If you apply this purple shampoo directly to freshly lightened hair or extensions, they might turn purple.
If your hair is not freshly lightened, you can apply this shampoo in the shower like normal shampoo. Leave it on for no longer than 45 seconds. You can always re-wash your hair in the shampoo. Having purple hair because you left it on too long is not fun!
